How booking works
When you decide to work with me and take the first step by inquiring about a session, it will be simple and straightforward. Most people begin by messaging me on my social media with a few questions or sharing what they're looking for in their session. After some communication, I will direct you to the contact page on my website.
This page helps me learn more about your vision, the type of session you’re interested in, your desired date, and other important details. It also gives you a chance to really think about your session, what you’re hoping to capture, and where you might want a little more guidance from me.
After you submit the inquiry form, I will review all the information you provided to better understand your vision and what you’re hoping for from your session. If I have any additional questions or need a few more details, I’ll reach out to you to make sure everything is clear and that we’re the perfect fit.
Once we finalize the details, I’ll begin the booking process by sending over your session contract, a session questionnaire and an invoice for the deposit. Your session date is officially booked once the contract is signed and the deposit is paid. After that, we can start planning all the fun details to make your photoshoot exactly what you imagined.
what happens before your session
Before your session we'll continue communicating to plan all the important details. I’ll also communicate with you through your preferred method of contact, whether that’s email or text as noted on your inquiry form. During this time, I’ll confirm all the final details for your session so everything runs smoothly.
Leading up to your session, we’ll talk about location ideas if they haven’t already been decided, and we’ll work together to look through any inspiration photos you may have. Photoshoots can sometimes feel a little intimidating, especially when you’re not sure what to wear or how to coordinate everyone.
If this is something you need guidance with, I’m always happy to help. I can provide outfit guides or help you style outfits using pieces you may already have in your closet so everything comes together beautifully for your session.
For elopements or special events, we may schedule phone calls or even meet up at a coffee shop to go over additional planning details. These conversations allow us to dive deeper into your vision and make sure every moment is thoughtfully planned.
During this time I want to make sure everything feels organized and stress free so you can show up feeling confident and excited for your photoshoot. This is also when I will send the remaining invoice, which is due before your session. That way, everything is taken care of ahead of time so we can both arrive at the session fully prepared and focused on creating beautiful moments together.
What Your Session Feels Like
It's the day of your session, you may be feeling a little nervous to be in front of the camera, or you may be excited and ready for anything, both are completely normal. During your session I will guide you through every step of the way. From gentle posing to fun prompts that bring out natural laughter. I'll help you feel comfortable, relaxed, and truly like yourself in front of the camera.
For sessions with children, it can sometimes feel overwhelming and you may feel the pressure of wanting your children to smile perfectly for the camera. Your children don't have to sit perfectly or smile at the camera the entire time. Honestly, the best photos come from those playful and silly moments.
I want your session to feel easy and natural, never stiff or overly posed. Your session will feel like I am barely there, and more like you're simply spending time with your partner or family. I want you to come to your session feeling confident, knowing that I'll guide you along the way, allowing your session to feel authentic and unfold naturally.
When You'll Receive Your Gallery
That anticipation after your photoshoot is so exciting and you're probably eager to see your photos. I completely understand, you want to see your photos to relive those moments and share them with family and friends.
You will receive your gallery within 2-4 weeks after your session. During slower seasons, galleries are sometimes delivered even sooner. During busier seasons, such as the summer months, delivery may be closer to the 4 week mark. For special events or elopements, galleries are typically delivered within 4-6 weeks after your session.
Please know that I take my time with every gallery. I carefully edit each image, looking at the entire photograph to ensure no details are missed. My goal is that when you receive your gallery, it will reflect the best final images of your collection.
I want you to truly love the images you receive and feel happy with your final gallery. I always want to deliver photographs that you’ll cherish for years to come. If you have any questions after receiving your gallery, or if there is a small adjustment you would like made, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m always happy to help and I want to make sure you are completely satisfied with your experience and your images.

This is everything you need to know, from your very first message with me to receiving your final gallery. I hope this guide answers many of the questions you may have about your experience with me and helps you feel confident about what to expect. I always want my clients to feel comfortable reaching out at any point, whether it’s with questions, ideas, or anything in between.
